Good morning...it's Shabbat preparation day for me and many of my Achoties (sisters). So I'm up getting the grandchildren ready for school...as I do everyday...but Friday's are different around my house...as we prepare to follow the 4th Commandment.

“Remember the Sabbath (seventh) day to keep it holy (set apart, dedicated to God). Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath [a day of rest dedicated] to the Lord your God; on that day you shall not do any work, you or your son, or your daughter, or your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock or the temporary resident (foreigner) who stays within your [city] gates.11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested (ceased) on the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy [that is, set it apart for His purposes].
Exodus 20:8-11

Achoti PatricYah Peace has shared some videos for the children and I will be sharing one or two today that will clarify our duties as homemakers so that we don't stress ourselves out trying to get it right. ..especially for those who must work outside the home....you know that brings up a point that I was discussing with a friend of mine...it's hard to get everything right and I haven't been able to not feel a little stressed at times and I've been retired since June 2016.

Let's have an open discussion today about how we are to keep Shabbat. Let's start with this video by this sister who has a YouTube channel that I subscribe to...Her Royal Roots.
